Here is an excerpt from Norm Groot's (2002 Credit Executive Award Winner)
speech awarding Adrienne Murphy, CCE the 2003 Credit Executive of the Year.
"I will now tell you about the winner of this year's Credit Executive of
the Year award. This credit manager has enjoyed an exceptional career in
credit for 25 years. This individuals accomplishments include the following:
- A member of CMA's Furniture Manufacturers group for many years, and served
as Chairman 1996 to 1998.
- Served on NACM's Professional Designation Committee 2002-2003
- Served as President of NACM - CFDD 1998-1999 and again for 2003-2004
- Is a member of the Royal Order of Zebras Herd #1 since 1997, and was
elected "Royal Striper" for 2003-2004.
- Has published articles on Education and Western Region for California
Credit Executive, and Certification and Education for Trade Vendor Quarterly.
- Participated in the play "Voice of the Gavel" locally, regionally, and
at the 104th Credit Congress.
- Served on CMA's Credit Information Services anscers.com Task
Force, on the Industry Credit Groups Initiative Committee, and the CMA
Service Committee.
- Has been a key member of CMA's Strategic Planning Committee since 1999.
As you can see, this is a very loyal member of CMA, and is always ready
to go the extra mile for all of CMA"s endeavors.
Quoting form the letter of recommendation from this Credit Manager's boss,
this individual "continues to be strategically involved with the daily operations
and key to the future growth" of their company. Further, this individual
"has implemented both upgraded collection techniques and help improve the
communication between Customer Service and the Sales Representative.
This credit manager was elected to CMA's Board of Directors in 1996, elected
CMA Treasurer in 2002 and will be serving as Chairman-Elect for 2003-2004.
